TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Former House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Marzuki Alie denied the allegation of receiving a Rp20 billion share from the e-KTP procurement graft. His name was mentioned by the e-KTP graft defendant Irman during the trial yesterday, June 12.
Marzuki’s name was first mentioned when Andi Narogong revealed a list of individuals and political parties that received the graft money.
According to that list, Golkar Party received Rp150 billion, Democratic Party received Rp150 billion, and PDI-P received Rp80 billion. It also mentioned the initials of MA or Marzuki Alie.
Marzuki, however, denied the allegations, saying, “Hey Andi [Narogong], you don’t need to give me money, I’m wealthier than you,” he said today, June 13.
Marzuki claimed that he had to repeatedly deny the allegations. He even asserted that he did not know and had never met with Andi Narogong.
Marzuki reported Andi Narogong to authorities in March for mentioning his name. He considered that Andi had done an act of defamation.
The former DPR speaker claimed that his name also mentioned in the DPR Building construction project misappropriation. “I just consider this as a test from God,” he said.
