Jokowi Inaugurates Officials for Pancasila Ideology Coaching Unit

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi is scheduled to appoint nine officials that will become the future director and one person as head of the Pancasila Ideology Coaching Unit.

State Secretary, Pratikno, on Tuesday June 6, chose not to reveal much about their identity. Pratikno only confirmed that there would be nine people that will be inaugurated by Indonesia’s seventh President.

These chosen people, according to Pratikno, will be inaugurated specially for the Pancasila Ideology Coaching Unit. It doesn’t include the people that will be inaugurated to fill positions at the Cyber and National Encryption Agency (BSSN).

“It is exclusively for the Pancasila Ideology Coaching Unit,” Pratikno said.

A couple of weeks ago, President Jokowi already ratified the Presidential Decree in legalizing the agency’s establishment.

A number of individuals that are rumored to be appointed are Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Chairman, Megawati Soekarnoputri, Former Vice President Try Sutrisno, Constitutional Court Chief Mahfud MD, Chairman of Indonesian Ulama Council Ma’aruf Amin, and former General Wisnu Bawa Tenaya. The unit will be led by Yudi Latief.
