TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police will issue a red notice against the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) leader Rizieq Syihab if he fails to return to Indonesia after being named a suspect in a pornography case.
“Tomorrow, investigators will issue an arrest warrant for the person in question [Rizieq],” Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono said yesterday, May 29, in Jakarta.

Argo said that the police have informed Rizieq’s defense lawyer over the decision. Regarding the red notice issuance, Jakarta Police stated that it will coordinate with the National Police International Relations Division.

“We will put the person in question on the DPO [most wanted list] if he fails to return to Indonesia and then we will issue a red notice. We will meet those requirements first,” he said.
The police earlier named Rizieq a suspect over alleged pornographic chat with Firza Husein. The FPI leader is facing more than 5 years in prison.
