TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - North Jakarta Police yesterday night arrested 114 men over alleged ‘gay party’ in a shop-house (locally known as ruko) in Kepala Gading.
Police have charged them under Law No. 4/2008 on Pornography. North Jakarta Police investigation unit director Adj. Sr. Comr. Nasriadi said that the arrests were made in a police raid on a fitness center over alleged ‘gay party’ called ‘The Wild One’. The attendees had to pay Rp185,000 (roughly US$13.91) to join the party.
Nasriadi said that the attendees were allowed to use the three-story shop-house. The first floor has fitness facilities, the second floor was used to hold striptease shows featuring four strippers, and the third floor has spa facilities where gay men can enjoy bathing and have sex.
The police have named 10 suspects, namely the fitness center owner, two receptionists and a security officer.
Moreover, six individuals, namely two strippers, a fitness trainer, a designer and two other attendees, have been charged under Article 36 in conjunction with Article 10 of Pornography Law.
Police officers seized condoms, event tickets, CCTV footages, a copy of business permits, strippers’ tip, beds, ‘The Wild Ones’ publication flyers, and cell phones containing broadcast messages on the sex party.
