TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The FPI management and its attorneys departed to Saudi Arabia to meet with Rizieq Syihab to hold a consolidation on a law case entangling the FPI leader in Jakarta.
"Habib (Rizieq) has become a victim of bullies as if he was not responsible for what he has done," said the head of Islamic Defenders Front’s (FPI) law department Sugito Atmo Prawiro Saturday, May 20.

According to Sugito, around seven members of FPI's management and its four attorneys were sent to Saudi Arabia. He said Rizieq did not request this but it was the initiative of the management.
The consolidation, he went on, was needed so Rizieq would not take a wrong step when he returns to Indonesia. "Habib must rethink and create a strategy to fight. So, we will able to face the police that has been subjective in investigating the case," Sugito said.
He added that Rizieq was ready to come back home after the consolidation. Currently, the FPI leader and his family will perform umrah. "Maybe (Rizieq will come back home) before or after the Eid."
Rizieq has failed to appear in two of Jakarta Metro Police’s summonses in the case of the alleged pornographic chats.
