TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Mayapada International posted Rp820.19 net income in 2016, a 25.73 percent increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
Bank Mayapada president director Hariyono Tjahjarijadi said that the company saw good growth last year, as evidenced by 29 percent increase in assets or Rp60.84 trillion. “We are optimistic 2017 will be even better,” he said yesterday at Mayapada Tower II.
Hariyono said that the growth of Bank Mayapada was boosted by loan distribution. The growth of asset in 2016 was attributable to loan distribution in trade sector, both corporate and small and medium-sized businesses.
Meanwhile, non-performing loans (NPL) of the bank in 2016 increased by 0.41 percent on a year-on-year basis or 2.11 percent. Credit distribution increased by 37.84 percent y-o-y, or Rp47.19 trillion and third-party funds grew by 25.32 percent y-o-y at Rp51.64 trillion.
Bank Mayapada AGM agreed on 2.44 percent provision of the net income in 2016, amounting to Rp20 billion. In addition, Bank Mayapada also paid dividends amounting to 24 percent of last year’s net income at Rp40 per share totaling Rp196.77 billion. Meanwhile, the remaining net income of Rp603.41 billion was recorded in retained earnings to enhance capital structure.
