TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State gas company PGN received 37 billion British thermal units (BTU) of natural gas from ConocoPhillips. PGN President Director Jobi Triananda Hasjim explained in its press release that the additional gas supply will be allocated to regions in Dumai, Riau.
The agreement signing was done by Jobi and the ConocoPhillips general manager Bajian Agarwal during the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) convention on Wednesday, May 17.
“This deal signing is also a support from government and upstream companies alike towards PGN in order to broaden the uses of natural gas, which is domestically more efficient and environmentally friendly,” Jobi said.
The deal states that the gas supply will flow throughout 2018 to 2023. PGN will distribute the gas production from ConocoPhillips to the people through a network of Duri-Dumai transmission pipes.
