TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reminded the residents and tourists to remain alerted on the trip from or heading to Jakarta’s Thousand Islands. The agency reported that rain will fall from morning to evening at the islands.
"The rain is of medium intensity," said BMKG’s head of information center Hary Tirto in a written statement Saturday, May 13.
He said the sky in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) will be covered with clouds this morning.
Rain with medium intensity will also be showering Tangerang, Depok and Bogor areas at noon. “In the evening, Jabodetabek’s skies will be covered with thick clouds,” he said.
Hary called on the people to anticipate rain with lightning and the wind in South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Bekasi, Tangerang, Depok, and Bogor.
"It (the rain) will be in short term," he said. Jakarta’s temperature will be at 22 to 33 Celcius degrees with the 60 to 95 percent of humidity.
