TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Foreign investors made significant contributions to the Indonesia Stock Exchange`s (IDX) performance this week. The IDX's records showed that foreign net buy amounted to Rp4.09 trillion in the last week of April.
This year so far, foreign net buy at the stock market has amounted to Rp21.89 trillion.
The IDX's Communications Director of PT Bursa Efek Indonesia Yulianto Aji Sadono said, this week's average daily transaction frequency increased 4.55 percent to 296,110 transactions. Meanwhile, the average transaction volume declined by 25.34 percent to 10.19 billion units of shares this week.
"The average daily transaction value is down 3.31 percent to Rp9.05 trillion from last week's Rp9.36 trillion," he said in a written message Monday, May 1.
Annually, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) has gained significantly by 17.49 percent to 5,685.29 points.
Yulianto said the bourse's annual capitalization value increased by 20.50 percent to Rp6,189.63 trillion per April 282017
"From the beginning of this year, the JCI has strengthened by 7.33 percent, and the IDx's market capitalization value has grown 7.57 percent," said Yulianto.
