TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Garuda Indonesia becomes the first airline to operate its international flights through the new Terminal 3 Ultimate at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang. Starting from May 1, Terminal 3, better known as T3, officially opens to serve international flights only.
Garuda Indonesia president director Pahala Nugraha Mansury said the airline's first international departure from T3 went smoothly. Flight GA 824 took off earlier than scheduled to Singapore on Monday.
The transfer to Terminal 3, Pahala said, marks the state airliners readiness to provide the best services to its passengers.
Pahala hopes all passengers can enjoy the facilities Garuda provides in Terminal 3. The airline has added doubled the number of its check-in counters at the terminal from 13 to 26.
Tomorrow, Garuda will operate 63 flights to and from the terminal using six boarding gates.
