TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta General Affairs Bureau head Agustino Darmawan predicted about 3,000 wreaths have been delivered to Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok.
“I estimate [that the number of wreaths] is more than 3,000,” Agus told Tempo in Jakarta on Thursday, April 27.
According to Agus, the number of wreaths delivered to the City Hall on Monday, April 24 was about 300. The number increased to 800 on the next day.
On Wednesday, he revealed that there were 1,000 wreaths delivered to the City Hall by 10am, and the number continued to increase to 1,800 in the evening.

Agus said that the City Hall complex could no longer accommodate wreaths that keep coming. Therefore, Agus intended to move some of the flower arrangements to the National Monument (Monas).
Fresh wreaths are now placed on the curb along Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, which attract attentions of bypasser who took selfies with it.
A flower arrangement sent by Cabe"an & Terong"an L. 37-Thamrin contains an expression of gratitude for the service of Ahok and his deputy Djarot Saiful Hidayat.
“Thank you so much Ahok & Djarot. God has a better plan for you. The angels know who the champion is,” the writing on the wreath says.
