TEMPO.CO, Yogyakarta - State-owned toll operator PT Jasa Marga still need Rp 70 trillion to wrap up the remaining project of 16 toll roads this year.
PT Jasa Marga currently manages 31 toll road concessions, 15 of which have been fully operated.
"While the remaining 16 are still halfway through and some have not even started," PT Jasa Marga President Director Desi Arryani said in State-owned Enterprises (SOE) workshop in Yogyakarta on Friday (21/4).
Desi explained that the shortage of fund will be resolved by applying a loan to a bank. However, a minimum capital of Rp 21 trillion is required to apply a loan and Jasa Marga equity is worth Rp 16 trillion.
To cover for the remaining Rp 4,5 trillion, she continued, PT Jasa Marga is going to maximize profit and to conduct subholding of the toll road stocks through "initial public offering" (IPO).
Desi claimed that this is possible since PT Jasa Marga still dominate 80 percent of the total revenue of toll roads in Indonesia.
