TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Anti-Ahok conservatives responded angrily to prosecutors` demand for the Jakarta governor to serve a sentence of one year in prison. Prosecutors are calling for Ahok or Basuki Tjahaja Purnama to serve a year in jail with two years of probation.
One of the protesters that rallied outside the courthouse in South Jakarta Thursday, April 20, shouted that it was unfair, and provoked the group of people to "fight".
The angered crowd tried to break through the gates and barb wires. Tension rose and the police were prepared for chaos.

The crowd then dispersed for afternoon prayers and headed to the nearest mosque.
Meanwhile, Ahok supporters who were also near the courthouse could be seen relaxing and enjoying themselves. Some enjoyed their lunch while others danced.
