TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan, also known as Aher, has decided to postpone the issuance of a Governor Regulation on online-based transportation services. However, Aher said that the regulation’s draft has been completed and ready to be signed.
"We are ready, the calculations have been made on the upper limit and the lower limit," Aher said on Monday, April 3, 2017.
Aher said that the regulation's issuance will be postponed while waiting for a technical guideline from the Transportation Ministry. "We are waiting for guidelines from the central government because the central government said that don't make any regulations without technical guidelines from the central government," Aher explained.
Aher said that he had requested the Chief of West Java Transportation Agency to contact the Transportation Ministry about the technical guideline.
Aher however, refused to provide an explanation on the value of the new tariffs stipulated in the new regulation.
Aher also requested the people not to compare tariffs in a certain region with other region.
Aher underlined that the regulation will not only stipulate new tariffs but also online-based transportation services fleet quota.
