Jasa Marga Predicts Peak Traffic Flow Post Nyepi Holiday Tonight

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Jasa Marga predicts that today, March 28, will be the peak of traffic flow of people returning from Nyepi holiday. Assistant Vice President Corporate Communication of PT Jasa Marga, Dwimawan Heru, stated the vehicles that will head to Cikarang Utama toll gate is predicted to increase 11 percent compared to the normal days.
“Predicted to reach 82 thousand vehicles, it would normally be 74 thousand vehicles,” he said.
Dwimawan said that the traffic flow in toll roads is currently running smoothly, either from the direction of Jakarta or heading towards Jakarta.
“For example, from Bandung to Jakarta is still going smoothly,” he said. “Based on the information provided by Jasa Marga Traffic Information Center, in Purbaleunyi Toll road, which also includes Pasteur, the traffic heading to Jakarta or Bandung is running smoothly.”
Jasa Marga also recorded a 7.94 percent increased traffic flow which equals to 234,000 vehicles, from the normal of 217,000 vehicles, had left Jakarta through Cikarang Utama Toll gate ahead of 2017 Nyepi Day, exactly throughout March 24-26.
