TEMPO.CO, JakartaPresident Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that holders of Indonesia Health Cards (KIS) will be entitled to good and reasonable services at the government-sanctioned health facilities.

The president made the remarks during his visit to Tapian Siri-siri Syariah, Panyabungan sub-district, Mandailing Natal district, North Sumatra province, on Saturday, according to chief of the presidential secretariats press, media and information bureau, Bey Machmudin, in a press statement.

Jokowi also underscored the importance of maintaining the quality of administrative and health services.

He noted that he will not be reluctant to replace health officers who do not provide good services to KIS holders.

"Let me know if you find medical officers who provide bad services. Of course, I will reprimand them. If they do not provide good services, I will discharge and replace them," he remarked.

The head of state further asked KIS holders to use the health facility wisely and efficiently.

"This is for school needs, education needs, child nutrition needs, and business," he pointed out.

The government is committed to continue the assistance in the future, realizing that the facility has great benefit for the public, he asserted.

"We will keep monitoring it. If it is good, we will improve it further. Every year, we will also provide KPI (Smart Indonesia Card) and PKH (Expected Family Program)," he added.

The various programs are part of the governments efforts to fulfill the basic needs and rights of the community through non-cash social assistance, he revealed.

During the visit, Jokowi was accompanied by First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo, Public Works and Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, Health Minister Nila Moeloek, Education and Culture Minister Muhadjir Effendy, Chief of Presidential Staff Teten Masduki, and North Sumatra Governor Tengku Erry Nuradi.
