TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Female idol group JKT48 announced on its official website that it has suspended performances starting from Wednesday, March 22, 2017, following the passing of one of the general managers Inao Jiro.
“Due to internal reason, all JKT48 operational activities, including merchandise booth, will be temporarily suspended starting from Wednesday, March 22, 2017, until Saturday, March 25, 2017,” the announcement said.
Based on the schedule posted at the JKT48 Theater at FX Sudirman, Jakarta, JKT48 was scheduled to perform on March 22-24, 2017 at 7 p.m. The JKT48 management has promised to refund tickets bought by fans.
“For tickets redeemed with JKT48 Point, they will be refunded in the form of JKT48 Point. Meanwhile, for tickets purchased with cash, they will be refunded in the form of cash,” the announcement added.
Japanese citizen Inao Jiro was found dead by his wife on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. The cause of his death was suicide by hanging. South Tangerang Precinct Police chief Mansuri said that Inao Jiro’s suicide was allegedly caused by work stress.
