TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Purwakarta Regent Dedi Mulyadi, who is deemed decent by the society to run for West Java Governor in West Java Regional Election 2018, expressed that he has not reached a decision to participate as a candidate in the election.
"I am only a villager. I have to assess my own abilities to run for gubernatorial election," Dedi saidon Saturday (18/3).
West Java Province is heterogeneous just like DKI Jakarta. As a result, the culture is also the same. If he is am to lead West Java, Dedi said, he needs to have attitude and behavior that enable him to assimilate with the heterogeneity.
When he was asked whether he is undecided in running for governor because of the competetion against Bandung Mayor declared by NasDem Party, he denied it. He explained that it is a matter of how much contribution given to the people. Dedi, who is also head of Regional representative Council of Golkar Party, leaves the decision to the party.
