TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Anticorruption Society (MAKI) coordinator Boyamin Saiman claimed that his organization owns evidence proving the involvement of House of Representatives speaker Setya Novanto in a graft case surrounding the electronic identity cards (e-KTP) procurement project.
Boyamin said that the evidence is in the form of pictures taken when Setya was meeting with individuals related to the e-KTP project.
However, Boyamin did not include the evidence when filing a report against Setya to the House Ethics Council (MKD).
"When I get summoned, I will hand over the photo proving [Setya's] meeting with the individuals," Boyamin said at the Senayan Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta on Thursday, March 16, 2017.
Boyamin filed a report against Setya for allegedly disseminating false statement saying that he did not know Irman and Sugiharto, suspects in the e-KTP graft case. Boyamin claimed that Setya lied since MAKI owns a record of the meeting that occurred in late 2010.
"Setya Novanto met Andi Agustinus, Irman, Sugiharto and Diah Anggraeni," Boyamin said.
Boyamin, based on a testimony provided by former Home Affairs Ministry's secretary general Diah Anggraeni, said that Setya met several individuals to discuss the e-KTP project.
"Diah also mentioned a meeting attended by Sugiharto and Setya Novanto," Boyamin said.
