TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - SOE Minister Rini Soemarno wants Pertamina to be among the world's top-three oil companies in the next five years.
"Our target is to be in the top-three at least. In five years, that should be possible. I'm sure with the spirit to implement good strategy and governance the target will be achieved," she said during the Annual Pertamina Quality (APQ) Awards 2017 in Jakarta Wednesday, March 15.
Rini said she is proud of Pertamina's performances for its success in saving Rp26 trillion in budget and garnering huge profits in 2016.

"I have great hopes for Pertamina to be Indonesia's large company that can enter the global stage," she said.
She also praised Pertamina for achieving several awards at the 22nd Asia Pacific Quality Organization Conference in Rotorua, New Zealand last November. Pertamina won the awards for Best Impact on Productivity, Best Presentation, and was named an overall champion.
