Jokowi Meets State Agency Leaders

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo, also known as Jokowi, invited several Head of State Agencies to the Presidential Palace in an attempt to maintain good relations.

"We will continue to preserve this 'silaturahmi' to show the public that unity and togetherness are essential," Jokowi said on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.

Based on our observation, there were at least 20 state agency leaders that attended the event.

State agency leaders, and deputies, present at the event was the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Chairman Zulkifli Hasan, House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Setya Novanto, Regional Representatives Council (DPD) Speaker Mohammad Saleh, Chairman of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Azhar Azis, and Supreme Court Justice Anwar Rusman.

President Jokowi stated that unity and fellowship among state agency leaders need to be maintained in order to face a number of challenges, global scene, and maintain the economy.
