TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Former Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Jakarta Regional Executive Board (DPW) Abraham Lunggana, also known as Lulung, claimed that he never received any call from PPP Chairman Djan Faridz before being dismissed.

"It's a lie, there was no call. What communication?" Lulung said on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.

Lulung statement was much different from Djan Faridz, who claimed to have attempted to call Lulung but received no response.

Lulung also stated that there was no apparent reason for his dismissal. "I was dismissed from my position as the Chairman of PPP Jakarta DPW for not complying with the Central Executive Board orders. What orders? What cause? It was not explained," Lulung said.

Lulung added that he had never received any notification from the PPP Central Executive Board. Lulung also claimed that he was surprised to know that he was dismissed from his position along with nine other members of the PPP fraction.

In relation to his support towards certain Jakarta governor candidate, Lulung insisted that his statement was in accordance with PPP’s principles. Last Sunday, Lulung stated his support for Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno.

On the contrary, the PPP under Djan Faridz leadership, extended their support for Basuki Tjahaja Purnama and Djarot Saiful Hidayat.

Lulung said that he has no plan to meet with PPP Central Executive Board following the dismissal. "Officially I have never been invited [to a meeting], if I was invited, I will tell them that there is something wrong. I will also said that the party’s principle is clear," Lulung said.

Separatly, Djan Faridz claimed that he had delivered three warning letters to Lulung. The firs warning letter, Djan said, was even delivered during the first round of the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election, when Lulung provided his support for Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono and Sylviana Murni.
