President Jokowi Calls Saudi Arabia King Salman to Bid Farewell

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo called Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud from Bogor this morning to bid him farewell.
Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, who saw the king and his entourage off in Bali, told State Palace media bureau head Bey Machmudin that in their telephone conversation, President Jokowi expressed his gratitude for his visit.
Retno added that in the next two months, the President would he send a minister to follow up King Salman’s visit to Indonesia.
She also said that King Salman deeply appreciated the warm welcome of Indonesian people and the Indonesiangovernment.
Retno met King Salman in St Regis Hotel Bali prior to the king’s departure. During the meeting, King Salman repeated his message that he delivered to President Jokowi on the importance of intensifying cooperation both with the government and private sectors.
"King Salman said that as two nations with open economy it will be easy for both countries to increase cooperation in economy," Retno said.
