TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Executive Head of Capital Market Supervision of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Nurhaida said repatriated funds from the Tax Amnesty program that are channeled through the capital market until the end of February 2017 reached Rp9 trillion.

“According to our data, at least Rp9 trillion is channeled through the capital market, including mutual funds, the government’s bonds,” Nurhaida said in Jakarta on Friday.

She added that the repatriated funds were previously stored at the banks that became the getaway of the program but afterwards capital owners have found interesting investment instruments that offer attractive returns.

"Capital owners were looking for good instruments to store their money and most of them chose the capital market. Basically, capital market gives higher returns than other banking products,” Nurhaida said.
