Garuda Indonesia Targets IDR 207 Billion Transaction in GATF

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian flagship carrier PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk. will soon hold its annual Garuda Travel Fair (GATF) in 24 cities across Indonesia.

Garuda Indonesia trade director Toni Soetirto, said that last year, the GATF 2016 event successfully attracted 140,000 visitors with a total sales value of IDR 430 billion.

'This year, we are targeting IDR 207.3 billion worth of transactions in March with a total visitors of 77,000," Toni said in a press conference on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

The 2017 GATF will offer discounted domestic and international flights tickets and tourism packages. Moreover, the event is aimed at supporting the promotion of 10 flagship attractions in Indonesia.

During the event, Garuda Indonesia will also introduce new features on its mobile app. Garuda will partner with state-owned bank PT Bank Negara Indonesia.
