TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama said that the Jakarta administration is still reviewing the governor regulation on electronic road pricing.
"We have revised the governor regulation, and we're going to hold another tender due to a protest," Ahok said at the City Hall on Monday, February 27, 2017.
Earlier, the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) questioned the usage of dedicated short range communication (DSRC) technology with a frequency of 5.8 gigahertz for the ERP project in Jakarta. The frequency usage is regulated in Article 8 of Jakarta Governor Regulation No. 149/2016 on traffic control and the ERP system.
The KPPU viewed that the DSRC technology usage violates Law No. 5/1999 on the prohibition of monopolistic practices and unfair business competition.
Transportation Agency deputy head Sigit Wijiyatmiko confirmed the revision to the governor regulation on the ERP. Meanwhile, the tender that is currently ongoing has not been canceled yet.
According to Sigit, the ERP tender is currently at the stage of the evaluation of pre-qualification documents. Therefore, Sigit added, the Jakarta administration cannot confirm the schedule for another tender.
"The Transportation Agency will carry out the mandates set in the revision to the governor regulation, after it is issued," Sigit told Tempo on Monday, February 27, 2017.
