Saudi`s King Salman to Visit Bali; Police Set Security Personnel

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Entourage of Saudi Arabia Kingdom will visit Indonesia. They plan to stay in Jakarta on March 1-3, 2017. Saudi Arabian King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud who will bring 1,500 people also plan to visit Bali on March 4-9.
Bali police’s public information head Adj. Gen. Comr. Hengky Widjaja said he has received a meeting invitation for the security of the Saudi Arabian King Salman's visit.
"We’re preparing the personnel and the operation plan. We have to overestimate instead of underestimate since their number is quite big; it reaches 1,500 people," he said Thursday, February 23, 2017.
Hengky explained the securement will be focused on the entourage and the locations. "We have received information (that Saudi Arabia) would come along with their security personnel at around 100 people," he said.
According to him, the King Salman’s entourage will stay at the area of Bali Tourism Development Corporation (BTDC) in Nusa Dua. However, his office has yet to receive information on what hotel would they stay at or the locations they would visit in the island.
The aim of the meeting between King Salman with President Joko Widodo is to increase the bilateral partnership between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia. The two will also discussed partnerships in various sectors.
King Salman is planned to visit Indonesia on March 1-9, with 1,500 personnel which include 10 ministers and 25 princes.
