TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said ‘Rumah Kita’, warehouses to store logistics to support the Sea Toll Program were set to operate in March.
"God willing, the warehouses will be operating this March,” Budi said in Jakarta on Friday (17/2).
However, the minister said that he would still further discuss the project, which involves a number of state-owned enterprises, including PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Pelni), PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, PT Pelindo I, II, III and IV.
Budi added that the Rumah Kita wareshoues would be located in 13 regions, namely Nias, Mentawai, Natuna, Sanggate, Dompu, Waingapu, Rote, Kalabahi, Tahuna, Namlea, Saumlaki, Manokwari and Timika.
Rumah Kita warehouses will also be integrated with the Air Toll in order to reduce price disparity in mountainous regions in Papua such as Manokwari and Timika.
