TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has handed over to court the case dossier and evidence against two suspects in alleged graft in the procurement of the electronic identity card (e-KTP).
“Investigators have today made the second handover [of case dossier] on the e-KTP case. The process has moved from investigation to indictment; meaning that trials will be held soon,” the KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah said in his office in South Jakarta on Tuesday, February 15, 2017.
The two suspects are former Home Affairs Ministry’s director general for demography and civil registry Irman and director for public administration information management of the director general of demography and civil registry Sugiharto.
Febri said that the suspects have filed requests for justice collaborator (JC) status. He said that the status would help uncover other perpetrators in the graft case that has resulted in Rp2.3 trillion in state loss.
