TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Hundreds of residents in two districts in Kudus regency, Central Java, were displaced after floods hit the two districts on Sunday (12/2).
Affected residents are scattered in Jati Wetan village, Jati district and Karangrowo village, and Undaan district.
"Because floodwater in the streets is also quote high, we’re forced to take refuge,” said Fidoh, one of the affected residents.
A total of 212 residents in Jati Wetan village and 206 residents in Karangrowo village were displaced.
Suyitno, Chief of Jati Wetan village, said out of 2,400 families in the village, 800 families are now taking shelter at evacuation centers.
