TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta-based pollster Media Survey Nasional (Median) released the result of a poll on the electability of three Jakarta gubernatorial and deputy gubernatorial candidates.
Median research director Sudarto said that the incumbent candidate pair Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama and Djarot Saiful Hidayat has a slightly higher electability compared to other candidates. "Ahok-Djarot electability rate was 29.8 percent," Sudarto said in Jakarta on Monday, February 6, 2017.
Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno came in second place with 27.8 percent electability while Agus Yudhoyono and Sylviana Murni sits on third position with 26.1 percent electability. The poll also recorded that 16.3 percent of the respondents have not made their mind on who to pick on the election day.
Sudarto said that it would be difficult to name the absolute winner based on the poll results. "The margin between electability rates still fell within the margin of error," Sudarto said. The poll's margin of error was 3.4 percent.
Median's poll on electability was conducted from January 29 to February 2, 2017. The survey involved a total of 800 respondents with a confidence level of 95 percent.
