TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno said President Joko Widodo knew about the dismissal of Pertamina president and vice president director Dwi Soetjipto dan Ahmad Bambang. Rini said the president approved the replacement.

"We reported it and the president agreed to have it executed immediately," Rini said in Jakarta Friday, February 3, 2017.

Rini's ministry then held a shareholders meeting on Friday morning. Rini said the president believes that Dwi and Bambang's dismissals were the right move.

Rini said the two men were replaced because their leadership caused lack of cooperation between directors.

The minister said next 30 days stakeholders will look for the best people to replace Dwi Soetjipto and Ahmad Bambang.

"The dismissal of Pak Dwi and Ahmad Bambang was done with great appreciation. They have given their all to do what's best for Pertamina," she said.

Dwi Soetjipto and Ahmad Bambang were officially dismissed by Rini from their posts. The pink slips were handed over by the SOE minister on Friday morning, February 3, 2017.
