TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Pertamina President Director Dwi Soetjipto and Deputy Director Ahmad Bambang have been officially dismissed from their positions. Their decree of dismissal was handed over by the Minister of State Owned Enterprises Rini Soemarno early this morning on Friday, February 3, 2017.
Pertamina Commissioner Gatot Triharga stated that they were relieved from their position on the issue of leadership. “One of the things that Bu Minister and the board of commissioners observed is the problem of leadership in Pertamina,” Gatot said on Friday, February 3, 2017.
Gatot said that Pertamina must possess a solid management in order to run the company’s ever increasing responsibility. “We observed that the internals must be improved to rejuvenate [the company],” he said.
President Commissioner Tanri Abeng said that Pertamina Gas Director, Yenni Andayani, will temporarily assume the duty of President Director. “We will appoint [a new] president director within 30 days,” he said.
According to Tanri, shareholders have decided to eliminate the position of Deputy Director, since the position is considered to be the main problem in Pertamina’s leadership. “This nomenclature might be a part of the problem which caused a lack of good partnership,” Gatot said.
