TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Martinus Sitompul said that police will question Jakarta gubernatorial candidate Sylviana Murni over alleged graft in the procurement of Al Fauz Central Jakarta Mosque. She will be quizzed because she once served as Central Jakarta deputy mayor.
“We will summon Mrs. Sylviana Murni on Monday,” Martin said on Friday, January 27, 2017.
According to Martinus, police have launched an investigation into the case but had yet to name any suspect. The investigators had questioned 20 witnesses.
Jakarta deputy gubernatorial candidate Sylviana Murni had said she was ready to become a witness in several legal cases.
Sylviana said she had been wronged. The running mate of Jakarta gubernatorial candidate Agus Harimurti said that she had forgiven those who had wronged her. “I don’t have time to file a lawsuit. I’m busy with [meeting with] residents,” she said.
