TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Fatahillah Museum in Kota Tua area, Taman Sari, West Jakarta remains a favorite recreational site for local and foreign tourists over the weekend, according to the visitors.
"My family ans I visit Fatahillah Museum to know about the history of Jakarta, " said Ika, one of tourists, Saturday (1/14).
Meanwhile, Sandi, a citizen of Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta admitted he visits the museum to take some pictures of historical goods inside.
"I like historical objects. It's valuable and worth to be photographed," he told.
To enter this museum, visitors only need to pay Rp2,000 to Rp5,000, and they could learn construction history of Jakarta, war weapons, artifacts, ancient epigraph, and also underground prisoners room in Dutch colonial era.
