TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - City-owned bus management company PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) reported that in 2016, it served 123.73 million passengers, a significant increase from that in 2015, which saw 102.95 passengers served.

"It also shows a shift from using private vehicles to using public transportation,” Budi said on Saturday.
On average, the number of Transjakarta passengers currently reaches 420,000 people per day, while in 2015 it was at 290,000 passengers per day.
According to Budi, the increase in the number of Transjakarta passengers is attributed to the improvement of its services, one of which by adding routes. Transjakarta currently operates 80 routes.
