TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK) has developed an application called PEPs (Politically Exposed Person). Head of PPATK Kiagus Ahmad Badaruddin, said that the application is needed to release a list of public officials that are currently under public scrutiny.
"Now, [people] can track down corrupt official," Kiagus said on Monday, January 9, 2017.
Kiagus claimed that the application has not been used by any government agency. "The list has been available all this time, but there is no monitoring activity," Kiagus said.
PPATK has also developed another application called Suspicious Financial Transactions (LKTM), which serves to receive reports and analyze suspicious financial transactions. The application is expected to be fully operational this year.
