TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo celebrated this year’s New Year celebration at Bogor Presidential Palace, as he tweet through his official Twitter and Instagram accounts @jokowi on Sunday (1/1) at 1 am.
"00:00 in 2017, I just stay at home. HAPPY NEW YEAR – Jkw,” Jokowi said in the caption of the picture he uploaded.
In the photo he uploaded, Jokowi is seen wearing a white long-sleeved shirt with plaid motive sarong.
With only wearing a black sandal, he sits near the garden in the palace.
This is not the first time Jokowi celebrates New Year by wearing a sarong and uploaded the picture on Instagram.
On 1st January 2016, Jokowi uploaded his picture showing him enjoying sunrise at a dock in Waiwo beach, Raja Ampat, West Papua.
Just like on the photo on 1st January 2017, on the photo uploaded on 1st January 2016, Jokowi was also seen wearing a sarong with plaid motive. On the picture, Jokowi donned a brown sarong and a long-sleeved shirt.
“The first sunset in 2016 at Waiwo dock, Raja Ampat, the best place in the world for snorkeling-Jkw,” Jokowi tweted on 1st January 2016.
