TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Former Chief of East Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry La Nyalla Mattalitti was declared free of all charges by the Jakarta Corruption Court. The Court issued a decision stating that La Nyalla was not proven guilty in an alleged Rp. 1.1 billion grant fund corruption.
"Stating that the defendant La Nyalla Mattalitti was not legally proven to have committed corruption," said Presiding Judge Sumpeno on Tuesday, December 27, 2016.
Before being brought to court, La Nyalla, who is also Chief of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), was declared as a fugitive for attempting to evade prosecution by fleeing to Singapore.
