Buni Yani Shows Up for Questioning over Treason Case

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Buni Yani has fulfilled Jakarta Metro Police summons to become a witness for suspect Sri Bintang Pamungkas over coup attempt.

“We don’t know about the possible questions yet,” Buni Yani’s lawyer Aldwin Rahadian said today, December 20, in Jakarta, as quoted by Antara.

Aldwin said that he was shocked that his client had been summoned by police since Buni had never met with Sri Bintang Pamungkas.

However, Aldwin had no problem with the summons and his client will give any information he knew.

Buni Yani said that investigators would quiz him on Sri Bintang’s recent speech given before a group of people under an overpass in Kalijodo, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

Sri Bintang has been named suspect under Article 28 (2) of Law No. 11/2008 on Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE) in conjunction with Article 107 in conjunction with Article 110 of the Criminal Code on coup attempt.
