TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian government condemned the terror attack that occurred in Kayseri, Turkey, on December 17, 2016, as stated in the Foreign Ministry press release dated Monday, December 19, 2016.
The government also extended its condolences to the Turkish government, citizens, and families of the victims, while at the same time, wishing for a speedy recovery for the injured.
The attack in Kayseri reportedly killed 13 people and wounded 48 others.
The Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Ankara said that no Indonesians were reported to be the victim of the attack. However, the Foreign Ministry and the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara, continues to coordinate with Turkish authorities for any update on information.
In relation to a series of terror attacks in Turkey that have occurred in the past few months, the Foreign Ministry instructed Indonesians living in Turkey to follow instructions of local authorities and avoid crowded places, which often become targets of terrorist attack.
