TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) spokesperson Febri Diansyah said that KPK decided not to arrest Danang Radityo in the alleged bribery case at the Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla).
“According to the investigator, there are four other people that can be indicated with the elements of bribery bill,” Febri said on Friday, December 16, 2016.
On Wednesday, December 14, 2016, KPK arrested Danang in a sting operation at the office of PT Melati Technofo Indonesia, Central Jakarta. However, his status was still as a witness.
Danang was said to be from the National Armed Forces (TNI), which conflicts with the military justice that can stop KPK from handling the case.
Febri explained that his institution is still investigating if any military member involved in the Bakamla official bribery case. If it turns out there is military involvement, then KPK would have to let go of the case.
“There are two types of jurisdiction between the general courts and the military court in processing this case and KPK can’t step foot to the court-martial,” Febri said.
KPK is coordinating with the TNI Military Police Center (POM) to reveal the bribery allegation.
The anti-graft institution has already named four suspects in the case that involves the procurement of monitoring satellites, namely Eko Susilo Hadi, deputy for Legal Information and Cooperation for the Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla), PT Melati Technofo Indonesia (MTI) president director Fahmi Darmawansyah, as well as his employees Hardy Stefanus and Muhammad Adami Okta.
KPK suspects Eko accepted a Rp2 billion bribe for the procurement.
