Soekarno-Htta Airport Ceiling Collapsed, No Casualties Reported

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ceiling of the arrival area of Terminal 3 Ultimate at Soekarno-Hatta Airport collapsed on Thursday, December 15, 2016. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Yado Arismano, spokesman of state-owned airport operator company PT Angkasa Pura II, said that the airport was not crowded with people when the incident occurred.
Yado explained that the ceiling collapsed at around 10:20 AM Western Indonesia Time. The debris was later cleared by airport personnel in just 20 minutes, allowing the airport to resume normal operation. "The incident did not disturb the activities at the airport whatsoever," Yado said.
Yado added that the collapsed ceiling is still being repaired by the company responsible for the construction of the terminal.
