TEMPO.CO, Pidie Jaya - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said that he has made sure that the Government has stepped in to fix the damages caused by the earthquake that hit Aceh.
According to Jokowi, the mosques, Islamic boarding school, and office building renovations will be handled by the Public Works Ministry, while the Education and Culture Ministry is responsible for repairing school buildings.
“It’s worked on immediately,” Jokowi said during his visit to the Pidie Jaya Regent office on Friday, December 9, 2016.
The President said that government would provide temporary tents, especially for school activities.
The government is still verifying the number of damaged houses, he said. The types of damages will be divided into two categories; severe damage and minor damage.
“The central government will support with Rp40 million aid for severe damages and Rp20 million aid for minor damages,” Jokowi said.
