TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chief of Police Public Relations Division, Insp. Gen. Boy Rafli Amar said that eight public figures were arrested due to an alleged coup. According to him, the eight people are currently under a tight investigation at the Jakarta Metro Police's office.
“That is outside of [the current] agenda. We’ll [inform] about it later,” Rafli Amar said on the sideline of the Jakarta Rally in National Monument (Monas), Central Jakarta, Friday, December 2, 2016.
Boy was hesitant in explaining the details of the arrest. He stated that he’s currently focusing on the current activity held at the National Monument.
Based on the information received by Tempo, there are ten public figures that are arrested on the suspicion of a coup. Here are their identities:
1. Ahmad Dani was arrested at the San Pacific Hotel, Central Jakarta. He is charged with Criminal Code, Article 207.
2. Kivlan Zein was arrested at his house, Gading Griya Lestari Complex. He is charged with Article 107 jo 110 Criminal Code jo 87 Criminal Code.
3. Rachmawati Soekarnoputri was arrested at her residence.
4. Ratna Sarumpaet was arrested at San Sari Pacific Hotel.
5. Sri Bintang Pamungkas was arrested at his residence in Cibubur.
6. Rizal Kobar, arrested nearby a Seven Eleven minimarket at Gambir, Central Jakarta. He is charged with the Law on Information and Electronic Transactions (UU ITE).
7. Eko, arrested at his residence in South Bekasi Housing. He is charged with Article 107 in conjunction with Criminal Code 110 in conjunction with Criminal Code 87.
8. Adityawarman, arrested at his residence. He is charged with article 107 in conjunction with Criminal Code 110 in conjunction with Criminal Code 87.
9. Firza Huzein, arrested at San Pacific Hotel, Central Jakarta. He is charged with article 107 in conjunction with Criminal Code 110 in conjunction with Criminal Code 87.
10. Jamran, arrested at Bintang Baru Hotel. He is charged with UU ITE.
Out of the ten identities, there are currently four names confirmed to have been arrested, namely Ahmad Dani, Ratna Sarumpaet, Rachmawati Soekarnoputri, and Sri Bintang Pamungkas. Tempo is currently in the process of confirming the rest.
