TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor candidate Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama responds to the National Police's summons and arrived early this morning at the Police Headquarters in South Jakarta. Ahok however, refused to say anything to reporters waiting in front of the police headquarter.
Police summoned Ahok after the Attorney General's Office declared that case files of the alleged religious blasphemy committed by Ahok has been completed.
Investigators will brought Ahok and the AGO's prosecution team together while Ahok defense attorneys team leader Sirra Prayuna, said that his client will comply and give utmost respect to the entire legal proceedings.
"The legal proceedings were done very quickly, completed in just two weeks," Sirra said.
The Attorney General's Office declared on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, that Ahok's case files have been completed and requested the Police to hand over evidence and Ahok suspect to the AGO for further investigation.
