Medan Police Confiscate 15 Kg Meth, 20K Ecstasy

TEMPO.CO, Medan - Medan Police drugs unit arrested a big drug dealer from international network at a house on Utama street, Pasar XIII, Tembung village Percut Sei Tuan district Deli Serdang subdistrict on Saturday (26/11). The police caught LH who was suspected as a drug dealer having 15 kg of meth and 20,000 ecstasy pills.

Police drugs unit head Commissioner Boy Situmorang said that based on the interrogation, LH admitted that the drugs were from Malaysia that was smuggled through sea route. “He said he is only a courier. The drugs were from Malaysia, but the police are still investigating him,” Situmorang said.

Medan Police Chief Sr. Commissioner Mardiaz Kusin Dwihananto said that LH received drugs supply from someone in Carrefour modern shopping center on Gatit Subroto street, Medan. The drugs were then distributed to a drug dealer in Medan. “So there are still drugs that were distributed and we are on it,” Mardiaz added.

Mardiaz explained that LH covered his illegal business by selling traditional Aceh noodles in Tembung area. The police followed him for three months. He further said that the arrest will result in more information to get to drug dealers in Medan.
