TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) chairman Rosan Perkasa Roeslani stated that his institution fully supports one-price fuel policy initiated by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to realize social justice for all Indonesians.
"Actually, continuous and widely distributed economic development is the rights of all citizens, therefore, one-price fuel policy has to be implemented throughout Indonesia," he said in Jayapura (20/11).
He added that industrial sector supports the policy as it is one of the inputs that they have been provided to the government.
Rosan went on to say that such a policy will boost development especially in Papua because with high prices, development is difficult to attain.
He also estimated that Rp 800 million worth of subsidy from Pertamina for Papua province is worth doing since it is only a small amount out of the profit that the company makes.
Similar programs have to be implemented in other sectors, such as electricity, water, and road infrastructure, Rosan said.
