TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Indonesia urged the country’s Small and Medium Industries (SMEs) to be confident to export their products to other countries.
"We urge all Indonesian businessmen to export their products, not only major businessmen but also entrepreneurs of small and medium industries," said Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce for Export Development Committee Handito Joewono in Jakarta, Friday (October 14th 2016).
Handito added that many SME entrepreneurs in Indonesia are still reluctant to export their products for various reasons, one of them is because they are alread satisfied with the sales in the domestic market.
"In some areas, they are satisfied if their sales have reached the Break Event Point (BEP). This is what we need to change. We will invite them to expand, " said Handito.
In addition, limited information related to export of goods is also one of the reason why small and medium entrepreneurs are not interested in exporting its products, Handito said.
