TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ministry of Public Work and Public Housing (PUPR) has stated that the road construction measuring 158,83 kilometers along the Java's Southern Coastal will be funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB). “The loan from IDB is US$250 million,” said Rachman Arief, Development Director of Road Network for the PUPR Ministry on Friday, September 30, 2016.
Rachman explained that the southern coastal road with a 1,602,99 kilometers long and a 425,17 kilometers long has yet to be connected. Meanwhile, the southern road in Banten with the length of 175, 13 kilometers, and in West Java of 417,4 kilometers has been connected.
In Yogyakarta, the 65,79 kilometers road of the 121,69 kilometers long has not been connected. From the 676,82 kilometers of road in East Java, the 380,92 kilometers has not been connected with other available roads.
The loan from the IDB is expected to be effectively used in March-April, meanwhile the requirements for the Southern Coastal Road is Rp2,9 billion in which the application would be divided into a couple of years.
The roads that would be built using the IDB loan include the border of West Java-Patimuan-Tambakreja-Bantarsari measuring 10,5 kilometers. As well as the road of Jladri-Tambakmulyo with the length of 4,5 kilometers, and 4,7 kilometers in Legundi-Panjan.
Also the roads in Jerukwudel-Baran Duwet with the length of 7 kilometers, Munjungan-Prigi-Tulungagung Border with 27,46 kilometers long. And then the border of Tulungagung-Serang for 31,34 kilometers, and Serang-Malang border for 33,68 kilometers.
